PHYTEC was established more than 20 years ago and has subsidiaries in the United States and in France. PHYTEC builds microcontroller modules for industrial usage in products with quantities starting from the smallest production lots up to about 20.000 per year. Hardware-design has become more complex; operating systems and development tools play a critical role. Sustaining the value of investments through long-term reusability of software engineering products is an essential prerequisite of successful entrepreneurial action. PHYTEC provides a huge base of software implementations, such as operating systems, drivers, development environments and application specific software support to reduce customer investments in the design stage and shorten time to market. A special focus is set upon OSADL-compliant Real-time Linux and WindowsCE. It is PHYTEC’s mission to proceed the partnership with its customers while maintaining a high level of flexibility. Custom specific designs and support packages are integral parts of PHYTEC’s market offerings. Rapid Development Kits are available for a broad range of microcontrollers. PHYTEC RDKs include software implementations for direct use in industrial applications.
